Bonjour à tous!

As a relative beginner in the blogging community, I felt super excited and grateful to be a part of the Bloggers United Australia Birthday Party at the Lush City Store. I met so many lovely people and I also learnt a lot about the Lush products as well.

When we first got in, we were offered delicious drinks by Goodpress, which help with different skin issues. I got the antioxidant one, which was fruity and nice. Following this we had a little quiz where we had to guess what four different ingredients were, and the winner got a prize of a $100 Lush gift voucher!

Throughout the evening, several Lush employees were showing us different products, which was really fun, informative and overall a great sensory experience. One Lush employee was even able to blow bubbles using the mixture which was really cool!

A bubble!

There were two different mini workshops where we were shown how two different products were made. I chose to see how Cupcake was made, which is a chocolatey face mask that I have used in the past. It was really cool to watch it being put together, and I have already done my first face mask yesterday.

We were allowed to choose one Lush product to take home for free, and after much consideration I chose Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner to keep my body nice and moisturised. I also chose it because it lasts a good amount of time and smells divine. I got to speak to many of the other bloggers, which was really fantastic because I hadn’t really talked to many people about blogging before. Speaking with ladies who had been through the same things I have and totally understand what it is like to blog was really eye-opening and fantastic.

Whilst I was there, one lovely Lush employee (Alice) put a gorgeous lip colour on my lips. I had decided not to wear any lipstick that night due to my braces, but my friend Sarah and Alice assured me that it wouldn’t look silly. So, she put the lip colour on and boy, did it look fab! I was kind of scared that it would come off easily, but it stayed on really well and it turned more matte the longer I had it on – I really want to purchase it now, and regret not buying it on the night!

The Beautiful Lip Colour – called Decisive

After having had a really fun night talking to and getting to know fellow bloggers, it was time to say goodbye. Little did I know that we were going to receive some fantastic goodies in a little goodie bag at the end along with our free product. The products that I got include:

  • Ro’s Argan Body Conditioner
  • Ultrabland Cleanser
  • Cupcake Mask
  • Dream Cream
  • Million Dollar Moisturiser
  • Honey Trap Lip Balm

Having fun with the Insta sign

I actually got a second Ro’s Argan, but I was really happy about that as I was able to gift it to my Mum, who will really enjoy using it as a hand cream. We will have to see what she thinks as well! As mentioned in my previous post, I am going to be doing mini-post reviews on the products that I received.

Once again, I am so grateful for the opportunity to have had this experience and it makes me look forward to continuing being a blogger and being able to participate in these awesome events!

A bientôt!

[…] Chloe: My biggest blogging achievement to date would likely be having had the chance to attend the Bloggers United Australia x Lush 2nd Birthday Bash. This was a fantastic event where we (the bloggers) were invited to watch creations being made and select our own free product to take home. I have actually written a whole post about it here. […]
