Bonjour à tous!
It has been an absolutely fantastic month this April and I can’t wait to share it with you! I hadn’t been going to continue to do monthly favourites as I don’t always have different things I’ve been enjoying each month. However, I really wanted to for April because it was packed with super fun experiences.
I am also excited because May is my birthday month! I definitely subscribe to the idea that girls have birthday months, and not just one day. I’m having a few celebrations next weekend with friends and family and I’m really looking forward to it.
I got to have my Uni graduation in April for my Commerce degree. It was held in Bonython Hall at the University of Adelaide. The Hall is a stunning historic building and I absolutely adored being in there. On the day, we had to pick up our graduation gowns before entering the Hall. The graduates entered first, and we waited there and were given instructions. Then came time for the families to come in! I was super excited for my own family to come in.
Since there were a limited amount of seats, the ceremony was also live-streamed in another building, so my other family members were able to see it too! When I walked that hall toward the stage, it was truly inspiring. To think of all those who had walked there before me, and to be a part of history was a truly beautiful thing.
Rotorua Wild Ferns Face Mask
The Wild Ferns face mask that I bought from Rotorua is seriously the best thing ever. It contains all of the goodness from the Rotorua mud (purified, of course) which is fantastic for your skin. It is so good that people even use it to ease their pain from illnesses like osteoporosis. I just love using it and it makes my face feel like it’s being purified on the spot!
This year I went to Comic Con as Poison Ivy. It was my first time there and it was a cool experience. I loved seeing everyone all dressed up – some people put so much effort into their outfits.
I was a part of the Gotham City Sirens with one of my best friends as Harley Quinn and my sister as Catwoman. We had a lot of photos taken of us and were even included in a DC comics group photo!
I have been cooking a bit more this past month and I am really perfecting my pancake recipe. I prefer thin pancakes (or crepes), which take a little bit more practice to create. Its great to make them a little bit healthy by popping some strawberries on top!
Czech pancakes are quite similar to the French crepes, and they are called Palačinky (pronounced palachinky). I therefore really like making them as something special for Mr Czech and I. He has actually essentially taught me how to make them – and they’re delicious!
My award ceremony & lunch!
This month I also received my award for highest grade in Legal Aspects of International Business. It was really lovely that this event was organised for award winners from Commerce in 2016. I met some lovely people there and it was an overall exciting event to go to.
After the ceremony I went and checked out some awesome historical linguistics books from the library. Probably not everyone’s cup of tea but I thought it was great!
Following that I headed to Le Carpe Diem with Mum for a beautiful crepe lunch. I adore going to Le Carpe Diem. Most of the staff at the cafe are French so it can be a great chance to practice the language. They also have cool vintage French books in there, and of course, the crepes are delicious.
I have really enjoyed April and I can’t wait to see what the next month brings. I’ve got some exciting stuff coming up that I can’t wait to share with you.
